Michael Sazonov
Policy and Advocacy Chair

Michael is honored to join the Executive Board as Policy and Advocacy Chair.  Since his first Sunday Funday in 2018 he’s found support through the YP’s and motivation to become a fundraiser for Team Fox.

Since graduating from American University’s School of International Service, Michael’s passion for service, community, and creativity have taken him from the halls of Congress to the off-Broadway stages.  Michael is currently a bilingual teaching artist with Dance for PD® through the Mark Morris Dance Group, as well as Dance for Parkinson’s with the American Repertory Ballet.

When Michael worked as a professional staff member for Chairman Tom Davis, of The Government Reform Committee, he learned the importance of bipartisan teamwork to move legislation forward, and the dedication it took to shine the light of transparency where it was needed most.  From artistic engagement to grassroots advocacy, Michael is always dreaming up new ways to serve the Parkinson’s community.  His Dad, who has been living with Parkinson’s for 15 years, remains his rock and inspiration.
